App News: Free Apps by Apple

poster
Lately, it seems everything Apple releases is gold. However this does not just apply to their hardware. Apple revealed at their Special Event on September 10, 2013 that anyone who purchased an iOS device on or after 1st September 2013 will gain free access to some of their most amazing apps. These are:

– iMovie
– GarageBand*
– Pages
– Numbers
– Keynote (find out more about how I’ve been using Keynote here)
*To get GarageBand for free, you need a device that was activated or purchased on or after September 1, 2014.

These are fantastic tools for educators, especially since Apple has decided to give them away, meaning they are now accessible to most. However it is perhaps the highly polished and professional creations that can be produced with simplicity using these apps that make them most attractive. Also, these apps are available on a Mac from the Mac AppStore. Plus, if you use iCloud, anything you create will sync between your devices, meaning any changes made to existing documents or anything new created will automatically be pushed to all of your devices.
